ActiveSurvivor.org is a complimentary information and community website offered by the Active Survivors Network (ASN) at no charge for basic services. We ask user to agree to the terms and conditions listed here. Your registration to ActiveSurvivor.org represents that you have read and accepted the terms. ASN provides its service to you, subject to the following terms, which may be updated by us from time to time without notice to you. Please check back periodically to review the most recent version of this agreement. If you do no agree to all conditions, do not register to this site. You understand and agree that the Service is provided "as-is" and that ASN assumes no responsibility for the timeliness, deletion, delivery or failure to store any user communications or personalization settings. This web site is not intended as medical advice, and should not be relied upon as a substitute for consultations with qualified health professionals who are familiar with your individual medical needs. Always confirm specific information on ActiveSurvivor.org with your doctor. Information provided by ASN or ASN members reflects their experience or opinion. Advice by staff or members given on the message board, newsletters, articles, chat room or anywhere else on this site does not necessarily reflect the opinions of ASN.
Your privacy and security are important to us. You understand and agree that the service may include advertisements and that these advertisements are necessary for ASN to provide the service. It is not ASN's policy to release any personally identifying information about you. In most cases, information released by ASN will be grouped together in a way that does not disclose personal information of any particular user. We may use your contact information to send you information about additional services, updates and promotional material from some of our partners.
Your correspondence or business or promotional dealings with advertisers found on or through the service, including payment and delivery of related goods or services, and any other terms, conditions, warranties or representations associated with such dealings, are solely between you and the advertiser. You agree that ASN shall not be responsible or liable for any loss or damage of any sort incurred as the result of any dealings or as the result of the presence of advertisers on the service.
Registration is necessary to access certain information on this site. Basic registration requires you to provide us with a user name, password and email address. Member services require the use of email by the user. Failure to obtain regular and complete access to email may interfere with the user's ability to fully access the service, and thus each user is encouraged to maintain email access. Upon becoming a member, each user will receive a password and an account. This allows you to access most member services. In addition, ActiveSurvivor.org makes message boards, chat rooms or news groups available to our members. To participate in these interactive activities, you will be asked to provide additional information ("Member Profile"). When you disclose personal information in such public forums, that information can be collected and used by others in various ways, including by sending unsolicited messages. You are solely responsible for any postings you make on public forums on Activesurvivor.org, and each member is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password (or modifying the password) and account. Each member shall immediately notify ASN of any unauthorized use of the Member's account or other breach of security. ASN is not responsible for unauthorized use and makes no warranties as to the correction of such unauthorized use. Please do not disclose or share your password to any third parties or use your password for any unauthorized purpose. You may change your password at any time. Your contact information and profile data are collected at our site. We use this data to tailor the visitor's experience at our site, customize the advertising and content you see and may be interested in. This site also uses information to, fulfill your requests for products and services, improve our services, contact you, conduct research, and to provide anonymous reporting for clients. Please be careful and responsible whenever you're online. ActiveSurvivor.org contains links to partners, advertisers and third party internet sites and services that may collect data in connection with registrations, promotions, e-commerce, etc. Each of the linked web sites have separate privacy and data collection practices, independent of Activesurvivor.org and ASN has no responsibility or liability for these independent policies or actions and is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these web sites.
Cookies are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. Our cookies do not contain any personally identifying information; we use them to provide features such as personalization and to save your member identification. We may also use cookies to assist us in delivering content specific to your interests. Additionally, after you've entered your member identification and password during a session on our service, we save that information so you don't have to re-enter it repeatedly during that session.
When a child under age 18 attempts to register with ActiveSurvivor.org, we ask that he or she has a parent or guardian register for them. All members must be 18 years of age or older.

ASN does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or nonaffiliated companies except to provide products or services you've requested, when we have your permission, Activesurvivor.org will display advertisements but does not require any member obligation to the advertisements. ASN does not provide any personal information to the advertiser however when you interact with or access a link, you are consenting to the possibility that you are interested in the advertiser's products and/or services.
Each user hereby agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless ASN, their officers, directors, employees, agents, sponsors, volunteers, grantors and licensees from and against any and all liability including expenses relating thereto, such as reasonable attorneys' fees, relating to or arising from such sser's violation of the terms of this usage agreement or from such user's use, misuse or abuse of the service. In no event will ASN or the contributors of information to this website be liable to you or anyone else for any decision made or action taken by you in reliance on such information or for any consequential, special or similar damages, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Your use of the service is at your own risk. The service is provided on an "as-is" basis.
ASN makes no warranties, express or implied, as to the content contained in the service, or to the accuracy or reliability of any information or statements supplied by users to the service (including postings to the bulletin board, and member recommendations) and are solely responsible for the content they post.
ASN has no liability for any content or any actions taken on other party's web site. In addition, a link to a non-ASN web site does not mean that ASN endorses or accepts any responsibility for the content or the use of such web site. Members access such other sites at their own risk.
All statements, advice and opinions made by any user in any such content are those of the user only, and ASN neither endorses nor shall be held responsible for the reliability, accuracy or usefulness of same, nor for its merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose. ASN does not guarantee the accuracy of any information found on the service, included information provided by ASN (such as news), and ASN disclaims any liability for any such information, or any harm it might cause.
ASN may provide links on the website to other websites which are not under the control of ASN. Your credit card number cannot be read by a third party while in transit and will remain private and completely protected. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, federal law limits your responsibility for unauthorized charges up to $50.00. This means that your bank cannot hold you liable for more than $50.00 of fraudulent charges. In the event of unauthorized use of your credit card, contact your credit card immediately.
ASN reserves the right from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the service (or any part thereof) with or without notice. You agree that ASN shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension or discontinuance of the service.

Member to Member Communications Release (Member Profile)
Please review and agree to these additional conditions to gain access to discussion forums, member e-mails and other services. All conditions in the general services agreement remain in effect. Nothing listed in this document replaces or eliminates your responsibility to the "General Agreement", set forth by ActiveSurvivor.org.
In consideration of your use of the service, you represent that you are of legal age to form a binding contract and are not a person barred from receiving services under the laws of the United States or other applicable jurisdiction. You also agree to: (a) provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself as prompted by the service's registration form ("Member Profile") and (b) maintain and promptly update the registration data to keep it true, accurate, current and complete. If you provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, ASN has reasonable grounds to suspect that such information is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete; ASN has the right to suspend or terminate your account and refuse any and all current or future use of the service (or any portion thereof).
You agree to not use the service to:
1. Impersonate any person or entity, including, but not limited to an ASN employee or volunteer, official, forum leader, or host, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity. 2. Upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any content that you do not have a right to make available under any law. 3. Disrupt the normal flow of dialogue, cause a screen to "scroll" faster than other users of the service are able to type, or otherwise act in a manner that negatively affects other users' ability to engage in real time exchanges. 4. Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers or networks connected to the service, or disobey any requirements, procedures, policies or regulations of networks connected to the service 5. Collect or store personal data about other users.
ASN shall have the right to refuse to post or to delete any information or data which ASN becomes aware of which ASN determines, in its sole and absolute discretion, to be offensive, racist, lewd, profane, obscene, pornographic, hateful, rude, abusive, disruptive, defamatory or otherwise in violation of this agreement.
Each user agrees not to harass, threaten or make any other objectionable communication with any member or employee of ASN. No user shall engage in any conduct that, as determined in ASN's sole and absolute discretion, inhibits any other user from using or enjoying the service. A user shall not post, provide or otherwise make available any material of any sort (including member information, such as names and usernames, postings and other publicly viewable information) that is defamatory or libelous or would violate or infringe in any way upon the rights of others, is deliberately false or misleading, is indecent, pornographic, obscene, objectionable or offensive, promotes bigotry, racism or hatred, is threatening or abusive or promotes physical harm or violence against any individual or group or contains any viruses.
Violation of any of the terms and conditions contained in this agreement will result in immediate termination of the user's right to use this service and ASN reserves the right to invoke any and all remedies available to it either in law or equity.
